Making this narrative embroidery piece was a helpful way for me to process some difficult decisions I was making in my life. Besides contemplating moving away from everything I’ve ever known, I was dealing with a newly diagnosed autoimmune disease and how best to treat it and live with the consequences of the disease and the treatment.
